Project Partners
Principal project partners are the Earth Data Analysis Center (EDAC), University of New Mexico and the Department of Atmospheric Sciences, Univesity of Arizona. EDAC/UNM is the lead partner.
EDAC is a well-known center among Federal agencies, state, local and tribal governments, and professional societies, organizations and advisory bodies nationally and internationally. Its mission is to serve the needs of these communities by employing GI-science and technologies. Technical resources are in computing capacity and data analysis.
The Department of Atmospheric Sciences is internationally recognized for its leadership in air chemistry, air quality modeling, measurement and analysis, weather and climate modeling, and atmospheric sensing. The Co-Is have links to the UA computing center where 3-D animated model simulations and product demonstrations are conducted. They also have links to EPA, NCAR and NCEP models and data streams; and to the NWS (Tucson) Field Office, where operational practicality of models, products, and data are tested.
